Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of the jog stride training method on the endurance of Indonesia Heroes U-16 female futsal athletes. The research background was based on the athletes’ low aerobic endurance and the noticeable differences in physical ability among players. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest model. The research subjects consisted of 20 female futsal athletes who participated in a jog stride training program for six weeks, with a frequency of three training sessions per week. The training was conducted on a field track with a distance of 20 meters for 15 minutes in each session. Endurance was measured using the Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test before and after the intervention. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test, and a paired samples t- test. The results indicated that the data were normally distributed (p > 0.05) and showed no significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p = 0.105). However, a decrease in the standard deviation at posttest suggested a more even distribution of endurance levels among athletes. The study concluded that the jog stride method did not significantly improve endurance but contributed to stabilizing athletes’ physical condition.
