This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Snowball sampling was used to obtain informants, namely two coaches and six athletes. The study findings show that coach feedback has a positive impact on the technical development and mental state of female athletes. Athletes experienced increased motivation, self-confidence, and a clearer understanding of errors. Specific feedback helped athletes improve their performance and potentially improved match results. The results showed that feedback was provided routinely, generally in the form of direct correction. Athletes tended to be able to understand these directions well, especially when delivered clearly. Overall, feedback was proven to contribute positively to athlete motivation and confidence.
2026-04-29T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Yuan Darazatzati, Anggit Wicaksono https://jurnal.icjambi.id/index.php/sprinter/article/view/1005 Analisis Kualitas Layanan Sports Massage di Kota Surabaya dengan Menggunakan Pendekatan SERVQUAL 2026-03-31T06:34:27+07:00 Mulyono mulyono@unipasby.ac.id Eka Kurnia Darisman ekakurniadarisman@unipasby.ac.id Gatot Margisal Utomo gatotmargisalutomo@unipasby.ac.id
The development of sports massage services in large cities such as Surabaya requires service providers to deliver service quality that meets customer expectations. This study aimed to analyze the service quality of sports massage services in Surabaya using the SERVQUAL approach. A descriptive quantitative method with a survey design was employed. The research sample consisted of 100 respondents who were users of sports massage services, selected using an accidental sampling technique. The research instrument was a SERVQUAL questionnaire comprising five dimensions: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, measured using a 5-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed descriptively by calculating the mean scores of perceptions, expectations, and the service quality gap (perception–expectation). The results indicated that all SERVQUAL dimensions exhibited negative gap values, suggesting that customers’ perceptions had not fully met their expectations. The largest gaps were found in the reliability and assurance dimensions (–0.57), while the smallest gap was observed in the responsiveness dimension (–0.52). In conclusion, the quality of sports massage services in Surabaya can be categorized as good; however, improvements are still required, particularly in service reliability and assurance, to optimally meet customer expectations.
2026-04-29T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Mulyono, Eka Kurnia Darisman, Gatot Margisal Utomo https://jurnal.icjambi.id/index.php/sprinter/article/view/1049 Pengaruh Strength Training terhadap Peningkatan Massa Otot dan Pencegahan Cedera Olahraga 2026-04-20T05:46:03+07:00 Suranta Pratama Ginting suranta@unimed.ac.id Anna R Milala annamilala2@gmail.com David Pangaribuan david743@gmail.com Yudha Prasetya yudhaprasetya12@gmail.com Fahri fahrii7@gmail.com
Sports activities play a crucial role in improving an individual's quality of life, physical fitness, and overall health. However, individuals must balance adequate physical preparation with increased training intensity and frequency. Neglecting these factors increases the risk of sports injuries. For some individuals who engage in recreational sports activities, as well as professional athletes, injuries such as overuse injuries, ligament sprains, and muscle strains are possible. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effect of strength training on increasing muscle mass and preventing sports injuries. The research method adopted is a qualitative research method. The results show that strength training is a physical exercise aimed at increasing muscle endurance, muscle mass, and strength through the application of weight to the body, thus preventing sports injuries. The study concluded that muscle mass increases are influenced by strength training. The amount of muscle mass gained is influenced by factors such as the duration of the training and the variety of strength training movements. However, in the 2025 Proliga, LavAni had to settle for a runner-up position. Although dominated by experienced players and competent foreign athletes, observations showed inconsistencies in jump serve techniques that often missed the net. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and technical errors in jump serves performed by the Jakarta LavAni club during competition in the 2025 Proliga. This study used a qualitative descriptive method through match video observation techniques. The sample in this study were 7 videos from: the final four (6 videos), and the grand final (1 video), which were played by Club LavAni in the 2025 Proliga. The research findings showed that Jakarta LavAni's jump serve ability was in the adequate category. Although the basic technique has been mastered, its effectiveness is not optimal. Jump serves are still easily received by opponents due to limitations in jump timing, ball bounce consistency, and power and accuracy of the shot. In general, this technique has been mastered fundamentally but has not reached a lethal level of efficiency. A more structured and sustainable training program is needed, especially on timing and mental stability at critical points, so that the jump serve technique can contribute more points to the team's future success.
2026-05-15T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 I Gede Bayu Pramana Sandi, Syarif Hidayat, I Wayan Muliarta https://jurnal.icjambi.id/index.php/sprinter/article/view/1097 Tingkat Kardiorespirasi Atlet Bola Voli Putri Profesional berdasarkan Indikator VO2max 2026-04-30T21:28:26+07:00 Nicky Valliana Rafael 22852011a002841.student@stkippgrisumenep.ac.id Rendra Kusuma rendrakus@stkippgrisumenep.ac.id Feri Weldani feri@stkippgrisumenep.ac.id
Although VO2max is important in sports, there is still a lack of research conducted on professional volleyball athletes. Heavy reliance on gadgets is frequently linked to increased sedentary tendencies and reduced physical engagement. This study aims to examine the influence of gadget use on students' motivation to exercise at SMAN 1 Jombang. A quantitative correlational design was employed, with a total population of 900 students and a sample of 90 respondents selected through random sampling. The research instruments included questionnaires on gadget use and exercise motivation, which were developed based on relevant indicators and adapted from previous studies. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 27.01 IBM for Windows. The results showed that gadget use has an effect on students’ motivation to exercise, with a coefficient of determination (R-Square) of 0.053. This indicates that gadget use contributes relatively little to exercise motivation. The findings suggest that the influence of gadget use on exercise motivation is not direct but is influenced by the pattern and purpose of its use. Gadget use dominated by passive entertainment activities, such as social media and video streaming, tends to be associated with increased sedentary behavior. In contrast, productive use has the potential to positively influence exercise motivation. In addition, exercise motivation is also influenced by intrinsic and extrinsic factors, such as interest, health awareness, school environment, and social support. Therefore, efforts to improve exercise motivation should not only focus on limiting gadget use but also on promoting wise usage management and strengthening students’ physical activity habits. The advancement of digital technology has influenced adolescents’ activity patterns, including their participation in sports. High levels of gadget use are often associated with increased sedentary behavior and reduced physical activity. This study aims to examine the effect of gadget use on students’ motivation to exercise at SMAN 1 Jombang. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. A quasi-experimental study using a one-group pretest-posttest design was the research methodology employed. Thirteen players were chosen by purposive sampling to make up the sample. Three training sessions each week were held over the course of the six-week ladder drill training program. The icky shuffle, reverse icky shuffle, two-foot forward, two-foot sideways, and in-and-out were the movement variants used. The Illinois Agility Test (IAT) was used to gauge agility levels, and the Paired Sample t-Test was used to analyze the results. Agility increased after the training session, according to the study's findings. The average pre-test time of 18.70 seconds decreased to 17.45 seconds in the post-test, a difference of 1.25 seconds. The ladder drill training program implemented showed a significant positive impact on the agility of the men’s futsal players at Bintang Lima FC Semarang. This was confirmed by statistical data, with a calculated t-value of 15.623 far exceeding the critical t-value of 2.179 and supported by a p-value of 0.000, which is still below 0.05.
2026-05-23T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Filda Dwi Anggraini, Indra Ramadhan https://jurnal.icjambi.id/index.php/sprinter/article/view/1143 Motivasi Siswa terhadap Penerapan Senam Aerobik di Sekolah Semi Militer SMA Titian Teras Jambi 2026-05-19T23:54:23+07:00 Riska Sinaga ikaa6248@gmail.com Ahmad Muzaffar muzaffar.fkip@unja.ac.id Mohd. Abdurrahman Sayoeti Jambi. The low variation of physical activity in the routine morning exercise program which has been dominated by Healthy Indonesian Children's Exercise is the background for this study. The method used is descriptive quantitative with a survey approach. The study population was all grade X students of SMA Negeri Titian Teras Jambi, with a sample of 100 students selected through a purposive sampling technique based on their active participation in morning exercise activities. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1–5 consisting of 40 valid statements, with a Cronbach's Alpha reliability value of 0.982. The results showed that the average overall score was 103.67 out of an ideal score of 175 (59.24%), which placed the level of student motivation in the sufficient to high category. A total of 91.0% of students were in the moderate to high motivation category, with 49.0% in the moderate category, 34.0% in the high category, and 8.0% in the very high category. Only 9.0% of students were in the low motivation category, and none were in the very low category. These findings indicate that aerobic exercise receives a positive response from students and has great potential to be developed as a superior fitness program in semi-military educational environments.
2026-05-24T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Riska Sinaga, Ahmad Muzaffar, Mohd. This study used a qualitative approach with an implementation study design. The population of this study was sports coaches and the sample used a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis. Data analysis used qualitative data with thematic analysis. Meanwhile, the results of the study showed that coaches have implemented the principles of sports science and evidence-based coaching in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of training programs. This approach has a positive impact on the consistency of athlete performance, physical and mental readiness, and achievement. However, obstacles were still found in the form of limited infrastructure, a lack of sports science support staff, and differences in coaches' abilities in interpreting scientific data. In conclusion, the integration of sports science through evidence-based coaching contributes to increasing the effectiveness of high-performance sports coaching, but requires systemic and sustainable support for optimal implementation.
2026-05-25T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Risfandi Setyawan, Ilmul Ma’arif, Guntum Budi Prasetyo https://jurnal.icjambi.id/index.php/sprinter/article/view/1133 Hubungan Pengalaman Bertanding dan Kepercayaan Diri terhadap Kemampuan Receive Bola Voli 2026-05-19T09:07:55+07:00 Dimas Sofi Setiawan dimassofi@students.unnes.ac.id Erwin Nizar Priambodo erwinnizar@mail.unnes.ac.id Wiga Nurlatifa Romadhoni wiganurlatifa@mail.unnes.ac.id Mohammad Rizqi Okta Afandi mohammadrizqioktaafandi@students.unnes.ac.id
This study aimed to examine the relationship between competitive experience and self-confidence on receive ability in volleyball athletes of Porvit Kudus club. A quantitative correlational design with total sampling was used, involving 14 respondents. Data were collected through a competitive experience questionnaire, a self-confidence scale, and match statistics for receive ability. Data analysis used Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression. The results showed no significant relationship between competitive experience and self-confidence on receive ability (p > 0.005), although a low positive correlation tendency was found. These findings indicate that receive ability is more influenced by technical and neuromotor factors. Therefore, structured and repetitive technical training is remommended to improve receive ability.
2026-05-29T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Dimas Sofi Setiawan, Erwin Nizar Priambodo, Wiga Nurlatifa Romadhoni, Mohammad Rizqi Okta Afandi https://jurnal.icjambi.id/index.php/sprinter/article/view/1161 Pengaruh Latihan Target dan Circuit Training terhadap Peningkatan Keterampilan Shooting Pemain Futsal 2026-05-26T07:18:13+07:00 Ridho Aditya Pratama ridhoaditya912@gmail.com Andri Arif Kustiawan andriarifkustiawan@upy.ac.id Agus Pribadi aguspribadi@upy.ac.id Bimo Alexander bimoalexander@upy.ac.id
This study was conducted to evaluate the impact of target practice and circuit training on enhancing the shooting skills of male extracurricular futsal players at SMK Negeri 9 Surakarta. Utilizing an experimental approach, the research adopted a two-group pretest-posttest design. A sample of 24 extracurricular participants was selected and distributed into two distinct intervention categories: the target practice group and the circuit training group. To measure the players' shooting proficiency, the TKDO Futsal shooting test was employed as the primary research instrument. Furthermore, the collected data were statistically analyzed through normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, and independent sample t-tests. Based on the findings, target practice led to a notable enhancement in shooting proficiency, evidenced by a t-value of -19.621 and a significance value of $0.000 < 0.05$. Similarly, the circuit training method demonstrated a significant positive effect on shooting skills, yielding a t-value of -13.619 with a significance level of $0.000 < 0.05$. In terms of improvement rate, the target practice group achieved an increase of 18.42% , whereas the circuit training cohort recorded a higher advancement of 22.27%. Consequently, these data indicate that circuit training exerts a more substantial impact than target practice on developing the shooting capabilities of male extracurricular futsal players at SMK Negeri 9 Surakarta.
2026-05-29T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2026 Ridho Aditya Pratama, Andri Arif Kustiawan, Agus Pribadi
